INTRODUCTION

In this day and age, there are many different, sometimes contradictory, diets, and we are spoilt with choices about what to eat. As a result, many people tend to switch from one diet to another. It seems that we have reached a point where we no longer know what to eat.

A naturally healthy and well balanced person eats what his/her body needs and thus asks for by giving us appetite for certain foods. Animals and babies eat this way, just listening to their instinct. By doing so, they eat what they actually need at each moment of time. Mothers can feel helpless and desperate when their babies or small children refuse the delicious meals they had prepared, and reach for something simple like a sugar cube or a salt grain which is sufficient to satisfy their craving for something sweet or salty.

Unfortunately, the majority of people, due to poor health or bad habits, under the influence of mass media and other people, have lost this natural touch with their own bodies and they tend to eat, what they think, is good for them. A lot of men, convinced that they should eat more fruit, unwillingly accept a glass of orange juice though what they really want and need is a sweet doughnut. To their surprise, instead of getting healthier, they get weaker.

It is therefore very important to get connected to one’ s self again so that one can recover good health. But to do this, your body needs sufficient levels of vital energy. And you obtain them from the food you eat, regular exercise, and correct breathing.
